Our Story

About Us

Vilder Painting was founded by Vilder Lopez, a skilled painter and dedicated craftsman with a passion for transforming spaces. Vilder started out working for other painting companies and honing his skills on a variety of residential and commercial projects. After years of experience in the industry, he decided to establish his own company in Lynn, MA to better serve local homeowners and businesses with a personal touch. What began as a small local business has grown through word-of-mouth and referrals into a trusted painting contractor for all of New England. We’re still a family-owned and operated company, and we treat our clients like neighbors – because they are!

Mission & Values: Our mission at Vilder Painting is simple: to deliver exceptional quality painting services with honesty, reliability, and a customer-first approach. We believe in doing every job right the first time, never cutting corners. Our core values are integrity, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. This means we show up when we say we will, provide transparent estimates and fair pricing, and give meticulous attention to every detail of our work. We take pride in the fine craftsmanship of a well-painted home and the smile on a client’s face when they see the final result. No matter how big or small the project, we stand by our work and strive to build long-term relationships with our clients through trust and excellence.

New England Expertise: Being based in New England, we understand the unique challenges and needs of homes and buildings in this region. Our team has deep knowledge of traditional New England architecture and the effects of the local climate on paint and construction materials. New England weather can be harsh and unpredictable – from nor’easter snowstorms to summer heat waves – so we use the best products and techniques to ensure your paint job can withstand the climatejerryenospainting.comjerryenospainting.com. We specialize in weather-resistant finishes that protect your home from moisture, temperature fluctuations, and salt air in coastal areas. This focus on New England durability sets us apart: we don’t just paint for looks, we paint for longevity and protection. We also understand that historic homes in Massachusetts may require special care (like breathable paints for old plaster or careful prep for antique woodwork) – we’re experienced in those methods too.

Our Team: Vilder has assembled a crew of friendly, highly skilled painters and craftsmen who share a commitment to quality. Every member of our team is thoroughly trained, not only in painting techniques but also in customer service etiquette, job site safety, and cleanliness. We are a licensed Home Improvement Contractor and fully insured, so you can feel secure when we’re on the job. We believe communication is key – our team will keep you informed at every step, and we’re always available to answer your questions. When you hire Vilder Painting, you’re not just getting painters; you’re getting a dedicated partner in making your home or business more beautiful.

Commitment to Quality: At Vilder Painting, quality is at the heart of everything we do. We prep surfaces extensively, use only premium paints (our preferred brands are Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, known for their durability and rich color), and apply our expertise to achieve a flawless finish. We never rush a job – our focus is on doing it rightrather than doing it fast, though we do work efficiently. We guarantee our workmanship and won’t consider a project complete until you are completely satisfied. Our numerous repeat customers and referrals are a testament to our high standards and the trust we’ve built in the community.

Community and Environment: As a local New England business, we are proud to contribute to our community. We often work on homes in our own neighborhood and love seeing the results of our work as we drive by. We also take environmental responsibility seriously: we follow proper procedures for disposing of paint and materials, offer low-VOC and eco-friendly paint options, and strive to minimize waste. When possible, we support other local businesses and suppliers, sourcing materials from nearby stores. New England is our home too, and we’re committed to doing right by our neighbors and the environment.

When you choose Vilder Painting, you’re choosing a team that cares about your project as much as you do. We bring professionalism, warmth, and a can-do attitude to every job. Thank you for considering us – we look forward to the opportunity to work with you and show you why we’re one of the most trusted painting companies in the region.

  • Below are some common questions we get from customers – and our answers. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to help!

    1. Q: How do I get an estimate for my painting project?
A: Getting an estimate is easy and free! You can call us or fill out the contact form on our website to schedule an appointment. We’ll arrange a visit to your home or business to discuss the project details, take measurements if needed, and then provide you with a written detailed estimate. The estimate will include the scope of work, recommended materials, timeline, and a clear cost breakdown. There’s no obligation, so feel free to reach out and get the information you need.

    2. Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes – Vilder Painting is fully licensed and insured. We hold a Home Improvement Contractor license in Massachusetts, and we carry liability insurance and workers’ compensation for all our employees. This means you can have peace of mind knowing that, in the unlikely event of an accident or damage, you are protected. Our team’s safety and your property’s protection are extremely important to usenpaintinginc.com.

    3. Q: What kind of paint do you use?
A: We use high-quality paints from trusted brands like Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore, unless you have a specific preference. These premium paints offer excellent coverage, durability, and long-lasting color. We’ll choose the appropriate type of paint for each surface (e.g., exterior latex paint for siding, bathroom paint for humid areas, etc.). If you’re interested in eco-friendly or low-VOC paints, we can absolutely accommodate that. We always discuss paint options with you before starting and can even help with color selection.

    4. Q: How do you handle prep work? Will you repair damaged walls or trim?
A: Proper preparation is key to a great paint job, and we take it very seriously. We will cover and protect your furniture, floors, and belongings with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. For interiors, we fill nail holes, patch minor drywall cracks, and sand rough areas. For exteriors, we scrape loose paint, sand peeling areas, caulk gaps, and even power wash surfaces to remove dirt and mildew. We also offer light carpentry repairs for issues like rotted trim or siding and drywall repairs for holes. Our goal is to start with a smooth, clean surface before any paint goes on. We include prep work in our estimate so you know exactly what we’ll do.

    5. Q: How long will my painting project take?
A: The duration of a project depends on the scope – the size of the area, number of rooms, the amount of prep needed, and weather (for exteriors). After we assess your project, we will give you a time estimate. A single room might take a day or two, whereas a whole-house exterior could take a week or more. We always strive to work efficiently and stick to the agreed schedule. If there are any changes or weather delays, we communicate with you right away. Rest assured, we won’t rush or cut corners – we balance speed with quality to ensure you get a fantastic result in a reasonable timeframe.

    6. Q: Do I need to do anything before the painters arrive?
A: We handle almost everything, so you can relax. However, there are a few small things you can do to help the process go smoothly. For interior jobs, it’s helpful if you remove fragile or valuable items from the rooms being painted and maybe clear off countertops or shelves that are against the walls. If you can, remove pictures or artwork from the walls (we can help with this too). For exterior jobs, we ask that you trim back any shrubs or trees that are very close to the house, and ensure pets are kept safely indoors. Don’t worry about moving heavy furniture – our team will take care of that. We’ll give you specific instructions during our initial walkthrough if anything particular is needed.

    7. Q: Do you offer any warranty or guarantee on your work?
A: Yes, we stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee. Our goal is for you to be completely happy with the results. We do a final walkthrough with you to address any touch-ups or concerns. If you notice any issues after the job is done (like a missed spot or an area that needs touching up), just let us know and we’ll take care of it promptly. Regarding product warranty, the paints we use typically come with manufacturer warranties against defects. While paint longevity can vary, our use of high-quality materials and proper techniques means your paint job should last many years. If for some reason there’s a premature problem caused by our application, we will make it right. We want you to have peace of mind that your investment is protected.

    8. Q: Can you help with color selection and design advice?
A: Absolutely! Choosing colors can be one of the hardest parts of painting your home. We have experience with popular color schemes and what works well in different spaces or architectural styles. We can provide color consultation, suggesting palettes that suit your taste and the character of your property. If you’re undecided, we can paint sample swatches on your wall to help you visualize. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but we’re here to guide you so you’ll love the final outcome. We stay updated on trends (like the latest popular shades) but also respect classic New England hues if that’s the look you’re after.

    9. Q: Do you do commercial and industrial painting as well, or just houses?
A: In addition to houses, we definitely provide commercial painting services. We’ve painted offices, restaurants, retail stores, apartment buildings, and more. Our team knows how to handle the larger scale and different logistics of commercial jobs, including working during off-hours to avoid disrupting business. However, we do not do heavy industrial painting (like factories with special coating requirements) – our focus is on commercial interiors/exteriors and residential projects. If you have a specific type of commercial project in mind, feel free to ask us – chances are we have experience with something similar.

    10. Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We are based in Lynn, MA and serve the Greater Boston area, the North Shore, and all of New England. Primarily, a lot of our projects are in Massachusetts (Essex County, Middlesex County, Suffolk County, etc.), but we are willing to travel to southern New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and other parts of New England for larger projects. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, just contact us! Chances are, we do – and we’ll be happy to come to you for an estimate.

    11. Q: How do I schedule a project, and what is the payment process?
A: Scheduling with Vilder Painting is straightforward. Once you decide to move forward after receiving our quote, we’ll work with you to choose a start date that fits your schedule. We usually ask for a small deposit to secure your spot on our calendar (especially during the busy season). The remainder of payment is typically due upon completion of the project and your satisfaction. We accept various payment methods: cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we can arrange a payment schedule (for example, deposit, midway payment, and final payment). Everything will be outlined clearly in your contract so there are no surprises. We believe in transparency and will walk you through the agreement before any work begins.

    12. Q: Will the painters clean up after the job is done?
A: Yes, indeed. A thorough cleanup is a fundamental part of our service. Each day we tidy up the work area, and at the end of the project we make sure all tools, materials, and drop cloths are removed. We’ll dispose of any paint cans or debris properly. For interior jobs, we return furniture to its place and sweep/vacuum if needed so your home is clean. For exteriors, we make sure no paint chips or materials are left around your property. The only thing you’ll be left with is a beautifully painted space – no mess, no headaches. We take pride in leaving your home or business as clean (or cleaner!) as we found it.
